For those individuals that maintain building a wall on our southern border doesn’t work in keeping Mexican drug dealers and violent gangs out of our country simply requires a quick history lesson.
The Great Wall of China built thousands of years ago was a primary example of keeping the bad guys out, while the Berlin Wall was designed in keeping good people in, fast forward to the present and perhaps the most important wall in the Middle East lies within the West Bank, and is one of the largest infrastructure projects in Israel’s history. The “wall” or “separation barrier” was built-in 2002 as a buffer against Palestinian suicide bombers, and for over 15-years the “wall” has worked nicely in keeping Israel and its people relatively safe from extremist attacks.
Moreover, in the midst of all the chaos and carnage of radical Islamic extremists in Europe, one country seems to have learned the hard lessons of appeasement from his neighbors and has done something about it.
Hungary within the last 2-years has slashed it’s illegal migration of Muslims to its homeland by a staggering 99% and the reason for the historic drop was Hungary’s determination not to become another London, France or Germany, and to take a page out of those countries that built powerful border fences in response to the global threats of radical Islamic extremists.
Speaking on the second anniversary of Hungary’s erection of its border wall with Serbia Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s Chief Security Advisor, György Bakondi, announced since the fence was erected in 2015, the number of refugees illegally crossing the border dropped from 391,000 down to 18,236 and in 2017 that number has been slashed to just 1,184
“The system of technical barriers is the key to the success of border security, and without it, it would be impossible to stop the mass arrival of immigrants,” the security chief explained.
No doubt President Trump is well aware of the Hungary’s success in building a wall and keeping terrorists out of their country, and perhaps an excellent opportunity for the administration to highlight Hungary’s accomplishment, as the only European country that has actually taken the offense rather than playing deference, and moping up after another terrorist attack.
Do you think President Trump will get the funding to begin building the wall by 2018?
