Clinton Motorcade Blocks Trump Press Bus

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s press bus was forced to pull over and wait for Democratic rival Hillary Clinton’s motorcade to pass as both candidates converged on Cleveland on Monday.

NBC News’ Ali Vitali posted video of event, commenting, “That is too funny.”

The candidates held rival events a few miles apart from each other on Labor Day in the most populous region of the all-important swing state of Ohio.

The most recent polling has the candidates in a dead heat at 43 percent apiece.

No Republican has ever won the White House without winning the Buckeye State.

Trump went to an American Legion to participate in a round-table discussion with labor leaders about job creation.

He later traveled to the Canfield Fair, near Youngstown, for some retail politicking.

Meanwhile, Clinton held a rally in Cleveland with various labor leaders, including AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka.

The Democratic candidate struggled at the beginning of her speech with an extended coughing fit, which she was eventually able to overcome, though her voice remained shaky throughout most of her remarks.

Clinton began coughing again late in the speech, while trying to articulate, “Donald Trump does not have the temperament to be our commander-in-chief.”

NBC News producer Monica Alba noted that Monday was not the first time Clinton has had coughing fits during campaign events, but it was the most pronounced.

Clinton is schedule to speak in Tampa, Fla., on Tuesday, while Trump visits Virginia Beach, Va., and Greenville, N.C.
