Russian Amb. Visited White House at Least 22 Times During Obama Presidency

On Thursday, liberals got another chance to start screaming about Russia after if came out that Attorney General Jeff Sessions met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak twice in the months before the 2016 election cycle, in his capacity as a senator, not as an official Trump campaign member.

While liberals used this as “proof” of Trump’s ties with Russia, they conveniently left out the well-documented fact that President Barack Obama met with Kislyak at least 22 times while Obama was in the White House, The Daily Caller reported.

Sessions met with Kislyak as a senator, which was his job. Liberals are pretending to be furious over this, but don’t seem to care that Obama met with the same man — as part of his job — 22 times between 2009 and 2016.

It’s the height of liberal hypocrisy to get outraged over one and not the other.

In fact, Fox News reported that in addition to meeting with Obama many times, Kislyak actually met with several of the key Democrats who have called on Sessions to resign.

Several Republican senators have also come forward to defend Sessions, stating that they too have met with Kislyak as part of their official duties as senators.

Politico noted that Trump needled House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senator Minority Leader Chuck Shumer on Twitter by posting photos of them meeting with Kislyak and Putin, and sarcastically demanding an investigation into their ties with Russia.

Liberals are simply using this incident to try to sabotage Trump’s presidency because they are still bitter that they lost in November. Unfortunately for them, they have been screaming so long about Trump that no one really cares what they have to say anymore.

One poll even shows Pelosi is considerably less popular than Trump, even though the president has had the mainstream media and the Democrat Party screaming about him continuously since his inauguration.

If liberals are going to demand an investigation into anyone who met with Kislyak, they should either start with Obama, or simply accept that Sessions made a mistake when testifying before Congress and move one.
