Secretary Kelly Reveals Just How Bad Threat From Radical Islam Is

Homeland Security Secretary Gen. John Kelly testified before Congress on Tuesday that the threat from the seven countries listed on President Donald Trump’s recent executive order temporarily halting some immigration was in fact quite severe, CNS News reported.

“There are thousands of fighters who are available and have — we have pretty good confidence — have the kind of papers that could get them passed into Western Europe, and certainly, by extension, into the United States,” Kelly explained.

Kelly referred to the seven countries chosen as “failed states” and emphasized that despite the liberal drama playing out in the media, this was not a Muslim ban, and it was only temporary.

“I believe that the travel pause from all of those countries will give us time to evaluate those countries and the information they can provide us, which will ultimately lead to safety for the American people,” he stated.

Given that Kelly and Trump have access to the same information that former President Barack Obama did, it’s safe to say that Obama knew about this threat all along, but he chose to say little about it, and do even less.

No wonder Obama kept refusing to say radical Islam — he didn’t want anyone to ask any tough questions about how severe the threat really was.

Politico noted that Kelly also pushed back against Democrats who wanted to know why this ban was implemented now, stating that he wasn’t going to wait until bombs started going off to pass laws to protect Americans.

Kelly did admit that the roll out of the executive order could have gone more smoothly — something he said was “on me” — but did not back down from insisting that the order was the right thing to do, USA Today reported.

Kelly never specially stated that Obama ignored the information about the threat from radical Islam. However, Trump and Obama both received the same intelligence reports. One president chose to bury his head in the sand, and the other chose to act to protect the American people.
