It has been slightly over a year since conservative commentator Glenn Beck likened then-GOP primary candidate Donald Trump to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, and boy have things changed.
Speaking Thursday on his radio show about the now-President Trump’s proposed federal budget, Beck and his crew gleefully read off a list of some of the agencies and programs the president’s budget was slated to cut.
Included were the Corporation for National and Community Service, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the National Endowment for the Arts and — Beck’s personal favorite — the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
As noted by TheBlaze, Beck has frequently spoken of his dislike for former President Woodrow Wilson, whom he believes was a “progressive liar.” And the fact that Trump included Wilson’s phony center in the budget was something the radio host simply couldn’t ignore.
“That was the olive branch, and I’ll take that olive branch,” Beck emphatically declared. “I am so pro-Trump right now.“
Welcome to the Trump train, Mr. Beck. It took you long enough, but better late than never.
The relevant remarks can be heard in the first hour of Beck’s Thursday broadcast:
It seriously took an exceptionally long time for Beck to finally open his eyes to the truth about our president.
As recently as December, Beck sat down for an interview with leftist comedian Samantha Bee — the same dirt bag whose show recently cracked a Nazi joke about a student with brain cancer — to discuss their shared dislike for Trump.
“I think that our future is going to require a broad coalition of nonpartisan decency,” Bee said during the interview, as noted by The Daily Beast. “It’s not just individual people against Donald Trump; it’s all of us against Trumpism.”
“I agree,” Beck replied.
Our apologies to Samantha Bee, but Beck doesn’t agree with you anymore. Unlike you, he has since grown a brain and realized that far from being a threat to democracy, Trump is in reality turning out to be the best thing that has happened to America in decades.
